DAY THREE:
-Visit the Catacombs and ancient Appian Way. See the Circus Maximus and the Mouth of Truth (Bocca della Verita). On the old Appian Way, explore the Christian catacombs. Then visit the basilica of St. Peter in Chains where the statue of Moses by Michelangelo adorns the tomb of Pope Julius II.
-Dine at a restaurant of your choice in the area of the Vatican.
-Our three day Rome tours conclude at the Vatican City. You will see the Vatican Museums' collection of Greek and Roman statues. Experience the genius of Raphael's frescoes in the papal apartments of pope Julius II. Visit the restored Sistine Chapel and see the original vibrant colors of its astounding ceiling and wall by Michelangelo. In St. Peter's Basilica, marvel at Michelangelo's Pieta, Raphael's and Bernini's works. Learn of apostle Peter, his burial under the Papal altar and of the construction of St. Peter's basilica.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE THREE DAYS TO TOUR IN ROME. Clients with this time can join Roman Strolls' private Three Day Rome Tours permitting a visit to a significant part of the essential sights of Eternal City.
-These tours can be scheduled to fit your arrival and departure schedule.
-These are walking Rome tours, however limousine or minivan transportation is included in the guided tours.
-These are private tours, with the guide committed exclusively to your group. We will endeavor to adjust the schedule and itinerary according to your party's requirements and wishes.
 
DAY ONE:
-Our Three Day Rome tours begin with a visit to St. Clement's Basilica. Beneath the basilica, you will see an early Christian Church and a Roman apartment building with a Temple of Mithras and a water spring.
-Then proceed to Ancient and Imperial Rome. See the Colosseum. Walk the Palatine hill, the Circus Maximus and Roman Forum, Theatre of Marcello, Jewish Ghetto and Tiberina Island.
-Dine at one of Rome's old osterias.
-In the afternoon take a stroll to Palazzo Farnese, Campo de Fiori, Largo Argentina, Piazza Navona with Bernini's fountains and Castel Sant' Angelo.
 
DAY TWO:
-Day Two of our Three Day Rome Tours start with a tour of Rome's four great basilicas. St. John in Lateran is Rome's Cathedral. Visit the Holy Stairs ascended by Jesus to be judged by Pontius Pilate in Jerusalem. Experience St. Paul's outside the Walls, then visit Santa Maria Maggiore.
-Nearby you will have a lunch break.
-Ride to Pincio park for the view of Rome and walk to the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. Window shop the exclusive shopping districts to the Trevi fountain, the Pantheon and the Basilica of St. Mary over Minerva.
-You will end the day with a wine tasting and typical cuisine in one of the oldest osterias.
 
Dress code for all Basilicas:
No shorts. Shoulder and knees must be covered
